Clomiphene (50mg)
CLOMIFINE 50 is a medication used for the treatment of female infertility caused by anovulation, which is the absence or irregularity of ovulation.
50 mg, refers to the amount of clomiphene citrate, the active ingredient, in each tablet.
CLOMIFINE 50 is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that works by blocking estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain that regulates hormone production. By blocking these receptors, clomiphene stimulates the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which are necessary for the growth and maturation of ovarian follicles and the subsequent release of an egg (ovulation).
The typical starting dose of clomiphene is 50 mg per day for a specific duration, usually starting on the third, fourth, or fifth day of the menstrual cycle and continuing for five days. However, the dosage and treatment duration may vary based on individual factors and the recommendations of your healthcare provider.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
