Caibimazole (5mg)
CARBIZOLE 5 (also spelled as Caibimazole) is a medication used in the treatment of hyperthyroidism, which is an overactive thyroid gland. CARBIZOLE 5 is commonly prescribed to manage conditions such as Graves' disease or toxic nodular goiter. CARBIZOLE 5 works by inhibiting the production of thyroid hormones in the thyroid gland. CARBIZOLE 5 does this by blocking the enzyme thyroid peroxidase, which is involved in the synthesis of thyroid hormones.
The typical starting dose of CARBIZOLE 5 for adults is 15-40 mg per day, divided into two or three doses. However, the exact dosage and duration of treatment may vary depending on the individual and the severity of the condition. The dosage is usually gradually reduced as the thyroid levels come under control.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
