BISALATIN is a second-generation antihistamine that is used to treat allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (chronic hives) in adults and children aged 12 years and older. BISALATIN works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance produced by the body during an allergic reaction, thus reducing symptoms such as sneezing, itching, runny nose, and hives.
Dispersible tablets are designed to be dissolved in water before ingestion. This formulation is often used for patients who have difficulty swallowing traditional tablets or capsules, such as children or elderly individuals.
BISALATIN is available in strength of 10, 20 and 40mg.
