Calcitonin Salmon (200IU)
ORAL SALMOCAITONE is a synthetic form of calcitonin, a hormone that is naturally produced by the thyroid gland in humans and animals. ORAL SALMOCAITONE is used to treat conditions that affect bone metabolism, such as osteoporosis, Paget's disease, and hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood).
ORAL SALMOCAITONE is typically administered as an injection, and the usual dose for osteoporosis is 100 IU daily or every other day. For Paget's disease, the usual dose is 100 IU daily for two weeks, followed by 100 IU every other day for two weeks. For hypercalcemia, the dose is typically 4-8 IU/kg every 12 hours.
It is important to note that the dose and frequency of ORAL SALMOCAITONE may vary depending on the specific condition being treated and individual patient factors, so it is important to follow the instructions of a healthcare provider. Additionally, ORAL SALMOCAITONE is not suitable for everyone, and potential side effects and drug interactions should be discussed with a healthcare provider before starting treatment.
