Cilnidipine 20 mg
CILINITAB is a medication that belongs to the class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers (CCBs). CILINITAB is primarily used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). CILINITAB works by blocking calcium channels in the smooth muscle cells of blood vessels, which leads to relaxation and dilation of the blood vessels. This dilation reduces peripheral vascular resistance, allowing blood to flow more easily and lowering blood pressure.
CILINITAB has the unique property of blocking both L-type and N-type calcium channels, which sets it apart from other calcium channel blockers. This dual-channel blocking action may provide additional benefits in certain conditions, such as diabetic neuropathy, where abnormal calcium channel function is involved.
CILINITAB is available in strengths of 5 and 20 mg.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
