STERISCOX is a medication that belongs to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). STERISCOX is used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and gout. STERISCOX works by blocking the action of an enzyme called cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which is involved in the production of prostaglandins, substances that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation.
STERISCOX is available in tablet form and is taken by mouth. The usual dose for adults is 60 to 120 mg once a day, depending on the condition being treated. STERISCOX medication should be taken with food and swallowed whole with a glass of water. It is important to take STERISCOX medication exactly as prescribed by a doctor, as taking too much or too little can be harmful.
As with all medications, STERISCOX can cause side effects. The most common side effects include headache, dizziness, nausea, and stomach pain. More serious side effects can include allergic reactions, liver problems, and heart problems, so it is important to seek medical attention if any unusual symptoms occur while taking STERISCOX medication. It is also important to inform a doctor of any other medications or supplements being taken, as STERISCOX can interact with some other medications.
