Gliclaglaze MR is a suitable oral hypoglycaemic agent for use in the obese diabetic who cannot be controlled by diet alone. Gliclaglaze MR belongs to the class of medications called oral hypoglycemics. Gliclaglaze MR is used for the control of blood glucose in people with type 2 diabetes. Gliclaglaze MR increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas and helps the body use insulin more efficiently. Gliclaglaze MR is available in strengths of 30 and 60 mg.
