Ivabradine (7.5 mg)
IVADINE is a medication used to treat certain cardiovascular conditions, such as chronic stable angina and heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). It belongs to a class of drugs known as selective sinus node inhibitors.
The primary mechanism of action of IVADINE is the inhibition of the funny current (If) channels in the sinoatrial node of the heart. This slows down the spontaneous diastolic depolarization rate, resulting in a reduction in heart rate. By lowering the heart rate, this medication helps to decrease the workload and oxygen demand of the heart, which can be beneficial in conditions such as stable angina.
IVADINE is available in strengths of 5, 7.5 & 10 mg.
