Linagliptin (5mg)
LINALIGLIP is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. LINALIGLIP is used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
LINALIGLIP works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which breaks down incretin hormones. Incretins are natural substances in the body that help regulate blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin release and reducing the production of glucose in the liver. By inhibiting DPP-4, LINALIGLIP increases the levels of active incretins, which leads to enhanced insulin secretion and decreased glucagon release. This helps to lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
