Losartan Potassium and Amlodipine
LOSASTRUM AM is a combination medication that is used together to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
LOSASTRUM AM is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps relax blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the workload of the heart, also resulting in lower blood pressure.
LOSASTRUM AM is prescribed in certain cases where a patient's blood pressure is not well-controlled with either medication alone. LOSASTRUM AM can provide a more powerful and effective blood pressure-lowering effect than either medication alone.
It is important to note that LOSASTRUM AM may have potential side effects and interactions with other medications, so it's important to follow your doctor's instructions and communicate any concerns or symptoms you may experience while taking these medications.
