Metoprolol Succinate 23.75 mg & Cilnidipine 10 mg
CILINITAB M
Metoprolol succinate belongs to a class of medications known as beta-blockers. It is commonly prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), angina (chest pain), and heart failure. Metoprolol succinate works by blocking the effects of certain natural chemicals in the body, such as adrenaline, on the heart and blood vessels. This helps to lower blood pressure, reduce heart rate, and improve the efficiency of the heart's pumping action.
Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). Unlike some other calcium channel blockers, cilnidipine blocks both L-type and N-type calcium channels. This dual action helps dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure more effectively. By blocking calcium channels, cilnidipine reduces the entry of calcium into smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels, leading to relaxation and widening of the blood vessels.
CILINITAB M is available in strengths of 25 and 50 mg.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
