Monteluke AB is a mucolytic. Monteluke AB is a combination of two medicines, Montelukast and Acebrophyllin. Monteluke thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Monteluke works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. Monteluke reduces inflammation in the airways and nose to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies. Monteluke is a leukotriene antagonist.
