NICOMALOM, also known as Acenocoumarol, is an oral anticoagulant medication used to prevent and treat blood clots. NICOMALOM belongs to a class of drugs called vitamin K antagonists (VKAs) and is commonly prescribed to patients at risk of thrombosis or with certain cardiovascular conditions.
NICOMALOM works by inhibiting the production of certain clotting factors in the liver, specifically factors II, VII, IX, and X. By reducing the activity of these clotting factors, NICOMALOM helps to prevent the formation of blood clots and maintain blood flow.
NICOMALOM is available in strengths of 1, 2, 3 and 4mg.
