Olmesartan (40mg), Amlodipine (5mg).
Olmistrum AM
Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to narrow, leading to an increase in blood pressure. By blocking the effects of angiotensin II, olmesartan helps to relax and widen the blood vessels, reducing blood pressure. It is typically taken orally, usually once daily, and is available in tablet form.
Amlodipine belongs to a class of medications called calcium channel blockers. It works by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into smooth muscle cells in blood vessels and the heart. By doing so, amlodipine helps to relax and widen the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood and lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is also taken orally, usually once daily, and is available in tablet form.
Olmistrum AM is available in strengths of 20 and 40mg.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
