Propranolol (40mg)
PROPENOL is a medication that belongs to the class of drugs called beta-blockers. PROPENOL is primarily used to treat conditions related to the cardiovascular system, such as high blood pressure (hypertension), angina (chest pain), and certain heart rhythm disorders. Additionally, PROPENOL is prescribed for various non-cardiovascular conditions, including anxiety, tremors, and migraine prevention.
The main mechanism of PROPENOL is blocking the action of adrenaline (epinephrine) and noradrenaline (norepinephrine) on beta-adrenergic receptors. By doing so, PROPENOL reduces the heart rate, decreases the force of heart contractions, and lowers blood pressure. PROPENOL also helps to reduce the workload on the heart, making it beneficial for conditions like angina.
PROPENOL is available in strengths of 10, 20 and 40mg.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
