Ramipril IP 5mg
STERIS'S RAMIPRIL is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. STERIS'S RAMIPRIL is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack.
STERIS'S RAMIPRIL works by inhibiting the action of ACE, an enzyme that converts angiotensin I into angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent vasoconstrictor (narrows blood vessels) and also stimulates the release of aldosterone, a hormone that promotes salt and water retention. By blocking the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, STERIS'S RAMIPRIL helps relax and widen the blood vessels, reducing blood pressure and decreasing the workload on the heart.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
