Dapagliflozin & Teneligliptin
GLIDAPA TENE 10/20
Dapagliflozin and teneligliptin are two different medications used in the management of type 2 diabetes. They have different mechanisms of action and are often used in combination with other diabetes medications to help control blood sugar levels.
Dapagliflozin belongs to a class of medications called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, causing excess glucose to be excreted through urine. By lowering blood glucose levels, dapagliflozin helps to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is usually taken orally as a tablet.
Teneligliptin, on the other hand, is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which breaks down incretin hormones such as GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). By inhibiting DPP-4, teneligliptin increases the levels of GLP-1, which stimulates insulin secretion and reduces glucagon release. This helps to lower blood glucose levels. Teneligliptin is also taken orally as a tablet.
