TP MATE is a medication that is primarily used to treat epilepsy and prevent migraines. TP MATE belongs to a class of drugs known as anticonvulsants or antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). 
TP MATE works by affecting the activity of neurotransmitters in the brain, particularly gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glutamate. TP MATE enhances the inhibitory effects of GABA, which helps reduce abnormal electrical activity in the brain that leads to seizures. TP MATE also inhibits the activity of glutamate, an excitatory neurotransmitter, which may contribute to its antiepileptic and antimigraine effects.
TP MATE is available in strengths of 50 and 100mg.
