VILDIABATE is an oral medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. VILDIABATE belongs to a class of drugs called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. Vildagliptin helps regulate blood sugar levels by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which is responsible for breaking down incretin hormones. Incretin hormones, such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), play a role in glucose homeostasis by stimulating insulin release and reducing glucagon secretion.
VILDIABATE is available in strengths of 50 and 100mg.
