Vildagliptin and pioglitazone
VILDIABATE PIO are two different medications used to treat type 2 diabetes.
Vildagliptin belongs to a class of drugs called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. VILDIABATE PIO works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones in the body, which in turn stimulates the release of insulin from the pancreas and reduces the amount of glucose produced by the liver. VILDIABATE PIO is usually taken orally in the form of tablets and is often used in combination with other diabetes medications, such as metformin.
Pioglitazone, on the other hand, belongs to a class of drugs called thiazolidinediones (TZDs) or glitazones. VILDIABATE PIO works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin, which helps to lower blood sugar levels. Pioglitazone is also taken orally in the form of tablets and is often used in combination with other diabetes medications, such as metformin or sulfonylureas.
Both VILDIABATE PIO can be effective in lowering blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. However, they work in different ways and have different side effects and contraindications. It is important to talk to your doctor about which medication may be best for you based on your individual needs and medical history.
