Bosentan (62.5mg)
BOSENTIME is a medication used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of the heart. BOSENTIME belongs to a class of drugs called endothelin receptor antagonists (ERAs), which work by blocking the action of endothelin, a substance that causes blood vessels to constrict and narrow.
BOSENTIME can cause side effects such as headache, flushing, upset stomach, nasal congestion, and joint pain. It may also cause liver damage, so patients taking BOSENTIME medication should have regular liver function tests and avoid alcohol and other drugs that can harm the liver. Pregnant women should not take BOSENTIME, as it can cause birth defects.
BOSENTIME is available in strengths of 62.5 and 125mg.
