METAPROLATE AM 
Metoprolol belongs to a class of medications called beta-blockers. It works by blocking the effects of adrenaline on the heart, thereby reducing the heart rate and the force of contraction. By doing so, it helps to lower blood pressure, decrease the workload on the heart, and improve the efficiency of the heart's pumping action. Metoprolol is commonly prescribed for conditions such as hypertension, angina (chest pain), and certain types of heart rhythm disorders.
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker. It works by blocking the entry of calcium into the smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels and heart. This relaxation of the blood vessels leads to dilation, which helps to lower blood pressure. Amlodipine is primarily used to treat hypertension but may also be prescribed for angina.
METAPROLATE AM is available in strengths of 25 and 50 mg.
