Metoprolol Succinate (23.75mg) and Cilnidipine (10mg)
CILINITAB M is a combination of two medication that are used together to treat high blood pressure, but they belong to different drug classes and work through different mechanisms. Metoprolol succinate is a beta-blocker that reduces heart rate and blood pressure by blocking certain chemicals in the body that affect the heart and blood vessels. On the other hand, cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens the blood vessels by blocking the entry of calcium into smooth muscle cells. This results in a decrease in peripheral resistance and blood pressure.
CILINITAB M can provide enhanced blood pressure control than using any medication alone.
CILINITAB M is available in strengths of 25 & 50 mg.
