Prulifloxacin (600mg)

PRULIFLOX

Prulifloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics, which are known for their activity against a wide range of bacteria.

Prulifloxacin works by inhibiting the bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination in bacteria. By interfering with these processes, prulifloxacin prevents the bacteria from multiplying and ultimately leads to their death.

The typical dosage of prulifloxacin for various bacterial infections can vary depending on the type and severity of the infection, as well as the patient's age, weight, and renal function. However, a common dosage for adults is 600 mg taken orally once daily.
